EMILY MAVER

Emily MAVER, is a young woman from GUADELOUPE (FRANCE) which is located in the Caribbean Sea. She is the youngest of 4 siblings. Almost everybody in her family played soccer

Emily started playing soccer at 5 years old. She is an offensive player that is why she plays forward or in the midfield as a winger to use her speed and her technique to pass her defender. She can also play in defense as a right back.

Her first club was "AS Carénage" in Guadeloupe. She had to play with boys because there was not any soccer club for girls at that time. She had many individual distinctions for her game and her devotion when she played with boys. However, at the age of 15, she had to stop soccer because there was not any soccer team for girls of her age.

Emily turned her attention to basketball and with the same determination won championships and improved really quick. Which helped her a few years later to be discovered and offered to go to the U.S to play basketball and study. The opportunity to play soccer again presented itself in Los Angeles and she took it ans since then she has been playing soccer in Europe for over 10 years now.
